Key to the Penthouse
Our rescue horse
March 29, 2009

Kind of thin and scraggly but a few weeks of good food and TLC
Key will be back up to grandeur in no time

We are working in conjunction with Daphney & Tracey
to bring this horse back to what he should be

Key is an ex-racehorse. He is 16hh Thoroughbred

Key is 12 years old. He is anemic probably due to lack of nutrition.
Dr. Duke of Mobile, Al gave Key a shot of steroids and
felt that with proper nutrition he would be fine.
Otherwise, Key is in good health

Going to have to get some meat on these bones

Key was given to someone who hasn't ridden him in 6 or more months. The people, unknowledgeable however well meaning, didn't think you needed to feed a horse as long as the horse had grass. This included the winter months. The people were unaware that this condition for a horse was not normal and thought that the new spring grass would fatten Key up. This is where we stepped in.

Check back next week for updates!
